The jewel of Disneyland Park in Paris, is the Sleeping Beauty Castle.
Around the castle, according with their timetable, you can find the princesses awaiting to sign your autograph books, to greet you and let you take photos with them.
The princesses rotate every 15 minutes, more or less. So, don’t be too dissapponted if (like me and my daughter) you are waiting in the large queue to see Snow White, and almost as your turn is comming, she goes and Cinderella come to continue with the session. We already had Cinderella’s autograph and photo taken with us, so we waisted our time, and my poor 3 and a half year old daughter was very dissaponted. (In my opinion, very bad organization).
Talking about the castle, it must be said the magic surround it, it’s absolutely beautiful. Underneath the castle, there is the Dragon’s Cave. A real scary articulated dragon awaits down there to scare the little ones of the family, is a must visit.
Going through Sleeping Beauty Castle into Fantasyland
You can go to the top of the castle and enjoy the magnificent view from up there , honestly I didn’t go in my visit, it was cold and rainy so I didn’t particulary fancy getting more wet. Inside the castle is beautiful, up the lovely wooden staircase you will find pictures representing the story of Sleeping Beauty, and sleeping coats of armour snoring away. Downstair there is a fantastic shop where to buy all kinds of gifts and souvenirs from the Disneyland Park.
The pink stone castle looks like a real medieval building. The attention to detail in every corner of the park makes you transport yourself to an imaginary land of princes, princesses and dragons.
Through the Sleeping Beauty Castle you will walk right into FantasyLand.
FantasyLand
Next to the Slepping Beauty Castle there is the Aladdin & Jazmin exotic Palace. Depending on where you are you will be listening to different music that provides the right atmosphere for each part. The music around FantasyLand is all very romantic and soft, magic almost.
In Fantasyland, there are many different places you would like to see, visit Peter Pan, Pinocchio and Gepetto, Alice of Wonderland, Dumbo, Is a small world after all and many more…

Visiting Disneyland Park
Inside the Disneyland Park, there are five different areas to enjoy, Adventureland, Frontierland, Main Street USA, Discoveryland and Fantasyland, they are all very different, decorated with different themes, but all equally superb!
Take the real steam train for a trip around the park, you can choose wich stop to take to start exploring.
It is highly recommended to plan your day ahead. If you are going on a high season, like summer, reserve your ticket on your arrival. Organize your day ahead with the programme, which tells you all timetables of the shows, parades, meeting hours and places with the Disney Characters… Also will tell you the type of rides there are available, an orange circle for the big thrills, a blue circle for family adventures and the pink circle for the more relax experiences for the little ones.
You also need to know that with the same ticket, you can visit the other park, Walt Disney Studios. located right next to Disneyland Park, even though is not as big as the first one, it offers a great amount of fun activities and rides, good amount of shops and restaurants too. There is here three new rides, The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, the Crush`s Coaster and the Cars Quatre Roues Rallye.
And finally, safety in the park and information points
As soon as you get inside Disneyland Park, you will find the City Hall on your left, at MainStreet USA. There you can find find information brochures, bookings for restaurants and activities, etc.
The safety considerations are well taken care off. Of course is your responsibility to watch your children all the time, to comply with all safety notices and regulations. Also to be aware that some attractions might not be suitable for everybody, take into account that small children might be very frighten, consider the minimum height or age requirements and also the health conditions. There are several attractions you should not go on if you suffer from high blood pressure, heart, back or neck problems, motion sickness or other conditions that might be aggravated by going into this adventures. As well as that, for your own safety, they strongly recommend you to keed your arms, heads, feet and legs inside the vehicles of the rides.
Also notice that children under one year old should not go into any attractions.
There are a lost and found office (the place to go if you lose your children), Bank cash dispensers around the park, Baby care children and lost children, first aids, toilets, currency exchange, guest storage, strollers and wheel chair rentals (very practical), and of course toilets and information points through out the park.
